DTS YWAM Blantyre!

It is with great excitement, joy and humility that I can announce today that the day has arrived for our students to take their journey from Dzaleka refugee camp to Blantyre to embark on the five month Discipleship Training School at YWAM Blantyre!

We can only thank our Lord Jesus for His unfailing provision in providing sponsors for the students as well as providing funds for Jimmy to be able to escort them to Blantyre today! This is a new beginning for BIG changes in the lives of these three people who a short while ago had little hope of ever leaving the refugee camp.

Steven also played a huge role in assisting our students by getting all their official documents and special passes to be released from the camp and we are ever thankful for his faithfulness and hard work in being our Team Leader in Africa! It was his birthday yesterday and on his birthday he ran around getting everything organized! May our Lord provide your every need dear Steven!

We pray a special blessing to every sponsor and person who has donated funds for our project in assisting these beautiful and passionate people in embarking on this journey of spiritual growth and towards a future in the ministry!

Africa On Board – DNA Infusion Conference 2017

There were 36 countries, 86 bases and 250 people present at the DNA infusion and our team had an amazing time with incredible networking happening as well. They had the privilege of hearing speakers such as Darlene and Loren Cunningham. They started YWAM and through their pioneering work 2265 bases have been planted all around the world currently. Because of the foundational principles and the DNA movement the bases will continue to multiply long after their lifetime, if it is God’s will and YWAM stays obedient to the voice of the Holy Spirit.

During the conference they also had the opportunity to listen to the amazing testimony of one of the speakers who is from a base through whom God has moved mightily. He is an African missionary from Togo and God called him to work close to Chibok in Nigeria where the 200 girls were abducted by Boko Haram. He started his work and went through quite a few horrific yet miraculous experiences before his work became a move of God. Through his obedience to the voice of God he managed to use his testimony of many trials with militants who all began to give their lives to Jesus!

This year they had more than 5000 students and 30 000 militants came to Jesus in that area in Northern Nigeria. In the process all the militants that repented gave in their weapons and YWAM drove the weapons to the police with a truck. Praise God for the courage of this missionary and everything he did through the obedience to our King.

During the conference we were given the opportunity to present Operation refugee to the attendees. This lead to MANY African YWAM base leaders to open their doors to take in refugees for the upcoming DTS’s! THIS IS HUGE! We have only been able to move within Malawi up to now, but the Lord has exploded our territory into more regions of Africa and now we are able to send refugees all over Africa to take part in the Discipleship Training School!

We welcome the following YWAM bases who have partnered with Operation Refugee:

Malawi – Blantyre

Mozambique – Nampula

Nigeria – Lagos

Nigeria – Ibadan

Nigeria – Media Village

Tanzania – Arusha

Zambia – Lusaka

Zimbabwe – Gwero

Burundi – Bujumbura

Uganda – Hope Land Base in Jinja

Please pray with us for God to open the gates of Heaven so that we may have MANY sponsors and donations to flood in as many of the DTS’s start in January 2018!

Want to make a difference?

We have two methods of sponsorship:

“Adopt a Refugee” – this is where you may select a specific refugee and choose to sponsor him/her until the point where they become self-sufficient.

“Partner” – You may decide to give a monthly contribution towards the mission which supports our guys who are already in the field, such as Steven and Tresor and Jimmy. (You are not obligated to a regular monthly contribution and may also choose to just do a once-off donation.)

Much blessings!

Michelle
